Michael Maddison is a DJ & Radio presenter that’s never far from the forefront of the LGBTQ scene.
Staring over 15 years ago having a passion for music Michael used to do local discos in his area, but
wanting to gain more knowledge he then enrolled onto a Music production / DJ course.
From this he enrolled on to a college course and furthering onto university, during this time he had
his first big solo spot DJ’ing at Evolution festival Newcastle & also releasing a track on a top 10 album.
After this Michael moved on to doing one off events around the local north east area then swiftly
moving onto local bars and night clubs, gaining a residency in one of the biggest north east LGBTQ
Night-club Powerhouse.
He then went onto having resident slots at Sunderland’s Gay Night and becoming a house hold name
across the north east. Michael had then gone onto DJing across Europe. Really proving he was a
master of his art.
He then further gained bookings at Newcastle pride main stage. And various other prides across the
Uk. From this he became a resident DJ on the famous Canal Street of Manchester and right next door
on Liverpool’s Queer circuit. Spreading his wings further he then joined Pride Radio as a presenter
where he really gained attention from the music industry by interviewing some of the biggest names
on the circuit and even collaborating with Grammy award winning Afrojack. Michael then Gained
Resident slots on Some of the most renowned stations in the Uk including Gaydio and electric radio
being on the line up beside some of the biggest Dj’s in the world. Also now Holding the Sat night
Resident of Powerhouse. In 2023/ 2024 he played all over the Uk and even closed UK pride with a 21
piece orchestra which delivered an experience that wasn’t forgotten. Michael believes this only the
start of what he has to offer and the future is bright.
